PhoneSoft supports any version of Notes and Domino 6.x and any version of Windows 32-bit (Win9x, ME, NT4 server/workstation, 2000 server/workstation, XP, 2003 server)
This means it can run on any machine installed with Notes or Domino 6.0.x or 6.5.x
Known issue
Sometimes we experience PhoneServer crashes with MFC42.DLL (Microsoft Foundation Classes DLL):
- PhoneServer hangs when a client starts a "Play by Phone"
- Also MFC crash sometimes happens on PhoneServer exit
Explaination
This is due to particular combinations of operating system, Notes/Domino version, PhoneSoft upgrade
The Notes/Domino install procedure in some circumstances tries to upgrade Microsoft DLLs (system DLLs) and cause MFC to malfunction
Solution
Only solution to this is to perform an operating system "update" by running Setup from the Windows CD
